Bloodhound Wall Plaque

An unusual wall plaque featuring a bloodhound head on a wooden support. In 2007 Christie's sold a set of four dog head wall plaques, including a bloodhound, on similarly shaped wooden supports ( Lot 192, Sale 5194, Furniture and Decorative Objects, September 2007, London, South Kensington). Curiously, two of the four dogs are wearing hats. Similar setter and bloodhound dog heads also sometimes appear mounted on bookends.
